Knowledge centre
|
| |
ErgoS is an engineering firm that implements ergonomic counsel and design. Furthermore, we support the acquisition and
exchange of knowledge in the field of ergonomics. That is why teaching, developing didactic material and publishing are
key activities within our firm.

Education
|
| |
Practice-based education will advance the thinking and
actions of ergonomic engineers and project workers. That is
why ErgoS participates in the EON institute (Ergonomie
Opleidingen Nederland - Institute for Ergonomic Training). EON
is a collaboration between ErgoS, TU Delft (the Department of
Man-Machine Systems at the Delft College of Technology),
the Dutch Ergonomical Society and Usable.
Within this cooperation ErgoS staff members prepare and
teach courses and workshops on ergonomic topics.
Research
ErgoS is frequently involved in research projects, either
independently or in collaboration with other parties. In the past, a comprehensive investigation has been made into
process monitoring in general and emergency alert management in particular. Another primary field of interest is the
ergonomics of buildings and their lay-out, exemplified by two key publications: 'Mensgericht bouwen' (Human-oriented
building) and 'Betere Werkruimte' (Better workspace). We are currently starting up a new practical investigation into
Ergonomics in hospitals and care facilities.

Software ergonomics
|
| |
ErgoS is often involved in innovative software projects and in the development of software guidelines. Methods for
'human-oriented design', such as Hierarchical Task Analysis, are paired with methods and techniques for software
development such as RUP and UML. The development of software guidelines has led to a systemized procedure for
assessing software and to the publication of a paper called ‘Man-Computer Interaction’.
