 Bas joined ErgoS in 1990, after working as an ergonomics researcher at the Ergonomics group of Twente University. His major interests and activities are in architectural design of health care organisations, such as hospitals, and control centre building design (mainly in process industries).Bas developed procedures and guidance documents on human centred design of building layout, room design for daily living activities of the handicapped and elderly people (i.e., bathroom, hallways, bedroom).
