Welcome to ErgoS Human Factors Engineering
ErgoS Human Factors Engineering integrates ergonomics in engineering projects. We focus on control centres (industrial, traffic management, off-shore), maritime sector (ships, VTS, off-shore industry), as well as on software, aviation, and logistic systems. Our thirty years of experience and up-to-date know-how enable us to find adequate and innovative answers to ergonomic questions.
Traffic Control Centres
The Netherlands (RWS – Rijkswaterstaat) operates 5 Traffic Control Centres for monitoring the national roads and highways. Since 2007, ErgoS has been involved in design and redesign/refurbishment projects in Wolfheze, Rhoon, and most recently Velsen.
ErgoS was contracted by Shipyard Kooiman for the ergonomic design of workplaces and interior of the RPA 8, including selection of colours and materials. More projects April 20
A new tool we recently use for our Human Factors design projects is the ‘virtual mock-up’. In a virtual mock-up the user can review design proposals by using a VR headset. We can also use 360 panorama-renderings, like in the example of a ships bridge, in this case of the Coral EnergICE, a brand new LNG tanker of Anthony Veder, for which we did the bridge design.
