ErgoS is active in different areas of the maritime sector. For example, ships’ bridges, control posts for coastal and inland traffic, locks and bridges, maritime HCI, and offshore production (gas and oil). It became one of our main working areas. Centralization operation Prinses Margriet canal

More and more locks in the Netherlands are operated remotely from a central location, by using Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). Rijkswaterstaat started the centralization of the Prinses Margriet canal control. ErgoS is working on the camera plans for five objects (bridges and locks) located in the Prinses Margriet canal.

Rijkswaterstaat - Charm

Rijkswaterstaat (Dutch National Road Operator) in cooperation with Highways England runs a project called CHARM. CHARM will implement an overall traffic control system, replacing several existing applications. ErgoS is consultant in 2016 en 2017 for several ergonomic issues related to introducing this system in the Dutch Traffic Management Centres.

November 25th: I spy with my little eye.

Renske Landman (ErgoS) and Kirsten Schreiber (Intergo) will give a (Dutch) presentation on formulated guidelines for the use of CCTV-systems. The presentation is entitled ‘I spy with my little eye’ and will be held at the Human Factors NL biennial congress.
